Price Per Person Joining Group Tour
On arrival in Chiang Rai in the Golden Triangle area of Thailand, transfer to your hotel where your adventure begins. Meet your fellow travelers and tour leader for welcome drinks and a briefing. Journey to the border the next morning and travel by slow boat down the tranquil Mekong. Cruise past traditional villages and peaceful rural scenes, then stay in the old trading post of Pakbeng, on the edge of the rugged upper Mekong.

Trek on the back of an elephant, then cruise to the Pak Ou Caves and its hundreds of Buddha statues. Glide in to beautiful Luang Prabang, a treasure-chest of architecture and culture, and your base for three nights.
Explore highlight sites on foot, including the exquisite Royal Palace and the graceful Wat Mai and Xieng Thong temples. Take part in a leisurely game of petanque, and indulge in sunset mocktails in riverside temple grounds. Savor a delicious local noodle breakfast with a brew of French coffee, be calmed by the serene sight of monks collecting alms at dawn, and spend an evening at a fun cooking class in a beautiful rural setting. Prepare your own traditional food for a picnic at the scenic Kuang Si Falls, and have ample free time to explore Luang Prabang's alleyways, alluring architecture, boutiques and cafes.

Fly to Vientiane, the rapidly developing capital. Visit the grand Patuxai monument for panoramic city views, and the COPE Center - to learn about the tragic after-effects of Indochina's 'Secret War'. Sample a famous Lao coffee in a local café, explore gilded That Luang and antique Wat Sisaket temples, and have free time for personal discoveries.
In the evening, be blessed at a baci ceremony and be treated to a traditional music performance over a delicious 'jaew' dinner in a local house. Enjoy free time to shop and explore, before your departure transfer.

Fly to Yangon. Take a short walk to see the city’s British-colonial architecture and the Indian Quarter, as well as the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda. Fly to Heho and transfer to Inle Lake. Visit a morning market where hilltribe people gather.
Continue on to the Phaung Daw Oo Ou Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five Sacred Buddha images. Learn about local crafts at a weaving village, silversmith and a cheroot 'factory', and see how typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Explore Pa-oh village of In Dein on foot and see the beautiful ruined ancient stupas of Alaung Sitthou.

Transfer to Heho for a morning flight to Bagan. The city is famous for plains filled with thousands of beautiful temples. A half-day tour includes Shwezigon Pagoda and the famous Ananda Temple, before a sunset view over the stunning vistas of Bagan from atop a beautiful terraced pagoda.
Visit Minnathu Village for an insight into local life, and move on to see the imposing 12th century Dhammayazika Paya. Discover the local handicrafts at a workshop, and enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening. On your last day, spend time at leisure until your departure transfer.
